Code Of Conduct
All students who are admitted to Khanyisile School are expected to abide by the following code of conduct.
Be punctual for all school activities
Wear the complete school uniform ensuring that it is clean
and neat and always tucked in.
Display politeness, respect and manners towards others. Challenging or confrontational behaviour will not be accepted.
Bullying, teasing or intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated.
Use appropriate language.
Follow all instructions given by the teaching staff.
Use all school property and items respectfully. Furniture,
books, sport equipment, etc must be handled properly. Any
form of theft or vandalism is unacceptable and is punishable
by suspension or expulsion.
Ensure that they enter all classes with the books, equipment,
stationery, clothing, etc that are required in order to participate effectively in the class. Ensure that homework is completed and that homework diaries are signed at home. The school diary should be in the child’s possession at all times.
Take responsibility for any work missed due to absence from
school. All such assignments should be collected on the first
day back at school
Adopt a diligent and committed approach to their schoolwork. Dishonesty in completing assignments, projects or
during examinations is not acceptable.
Participate in all classes unless alternative arrangements have
been made by both the parents and teachers concerned.
Display sportsmanship when participating in sports or
P.E. activities, whether within the school or in sports
competitions.
Line up for assembly and listen attentively to all announcements.
Take responsibility for the delivery of parent notices and
correspondence.
Ensure that all toys and valuables remain at home. The school will not accept
responsibility for valuables that are lost or stolen as a result of violation of this
rule.
No cellphones are allowed at school.
No phone calls to teachers during class periods, including cell
phone calls.
